Ronald Reagan - 99th Birthday Remembrance February 6, 2010, Todd Jaspers
Today marks what would have been Ronald Reagan's 99th birthday. I am reminded constantly of the exceptional leadership displayed by Ronald Reagan while he was president. Many Democrats are sickened by the popularity that Reagan appreciated during his two year terms ... Of course, many Democrats contributed to it as well. Ronald Reagan has been listed time and time again as the most popular president this country has ever seen. In a poll conducted by CNN every 2-3 years, Reagan has held the top position above George Washington and Thomas Jefferson for more than a decade. I am accused occasionally by our readers, like Stephen, for treating Reagan like a messiah. This is much in the same way that Democrats did prior to the 2008 election of President Obama. I remind them that it's not that Reagan was an exceptionally great man, but that his logic and reasoning was unparalleled. His belief in smaller government and the free market system has proven itself time and time again. Every recession and depression this country goes through shows us that it's not the government that pulls us out, it's the free market system.

I only said that because on TLM you said, "I tend to think... WWRD?" You replaced “J,” the actual Messiah, with an “R,” for Ronald Reagan.
That's all I meant. It’s okay if you didn’t get it. I know a lot of conservatives get all fussy when liberals change children songs from being about the Lord to being about Obama. I think it's creepy when they do that and I thought it was a little creepy to see WWRD. Shame on me.

I was being more retorical than anyhing when I said WWRD. But in the real context of politics... I would like to know what Reagan would do. Co-incidentally... Reagan pretty much has a quote for every scenario.
Democrats have been trying since even before his term to push an ultra-socialist agenda... even if the majority of their supporters aren't even aware of it. Because of this, he's had to fight all the same battles that both Bushs have had to deal with.
Obviously, I don't put Ronald Reagan to the same level as Jesus. It's a joke.
