I'm not one to gloat, but I think it's important to UNDERSTAND what the opposing party thinks. I occasionally go to DEMOCRATS.COM. It's a perfect example of the direction that Democrat party support has taken. Democrats no longer believe what they did on election night of 2008. The traffic at that website has all but completely died down. The last blog post they made was in May of 2009. Any opposing view that appears on the site immediately gets deleted and the person banned. The only people who still frequent the site are exploring ruins (like me), or still in the dark.
One particular post that I found very interesting was this:
http://www.democrats.com/node/21574
To quote directly from the post: "Are the majority of Americans actually satisfied with their health insurance provider, as the republicans say? If they are we need to let it go. If they are not we need to let them know we are the party that cares to help them. It really is hard to believe the majority is satisfied simply because almost everyone has to accept the health insurance company the boss wants."
The fact is... most Americans ARE happy. This election is a PERFECT example of this. Democrats need to realize that the United States is productive. Our country is NOT made up of massive numbers of poverty stricken citizens. The number of uninsured the Democrats had come up with includes people who just don't want insurance, illegal immigration, and dependants. We are a productive country, with big business and industry. Most Americans ARE happy with their health care, and most Americans do NOT want more tax increases. There are PLENTY of ways that we can help those who DO really deserve health care because they are physically or mentally UNABLE to provide it for themselves, but this bill is not the answer and the American people realize this. What many of the Democrats citizens still fail to realize is that the Democrat politicians don't REALLY care about creating health care "for the people". All this health care bill is, is a way for the administration to raise taxes in the guise of humanity. This is nothing more than Chicago politics at it's worst.
